I meant the discount was the online as it is in the store (in the US). You can't buy non apple products (like a FM9 academic license) in the store though.

I really liked the S530 set from logitech ... http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/ke...s/158&cl=us,en . The only problem I had was some conflict with the preference pane. If I change the USB port of the keyboard / mouse it would reset the butto…

I don't see why not ... but I have never tried.

Its the same discount in the US. I bought a stock 2.4 and purchase 4GB of RAM and a 250GB 5400RPM drive from OWC (macsales.com). I had an Apple service provider install it as to not void applecare. Sometimes apple has the best options, but ot…

I used the logitech s500 (or 505 or something) mouse for a while and recently went back to the mighty mouse. I don't know why people complain about the scroll ball, I haven't had a single problem with it.

I got one at the Apple Store, made by belkin $9.99.

Just order one with 5400RPM and order the 7200RPM from OWC.

Hopefully it isn't really a 4-6 week delay for the 160-7200 drive on the 15". There is no delay if you configure that option on the 17". I'm wondering if the orders came in quick on the 15" and they raised the wait, or was it like that right when it…

You can do it using iChat. Open iChat, log in with your normal screen name or .mac account. Press Command-Shift-N to open a new IM. Type in +1 then the area code and number. So if you were sending a text message to 123-456-7890 you would send the…

Air travel is horrible enough these days without everyone talking their cell phones. They just don't want an airplane ride to be equivalent to a ride on the subway (in terms of annoyances) I was on a private jet once and asked the pilot if I cou…

Two in MB and MBP, 4.5 in PM Quad.

I have a MB and MBP. The MB adapter is 65w, the MBP adapter is 85w and a good bit larger. The MB adapter will power the MBP but will not charge it, at least not at a realistic rate. Before they came out with the airline adapter, you had to use the M…

Microsoft Office isn't a universal binary, with rosetta having to translate it, it slows down. It isn't terrible, but it isn't good. I've been getting familiar with pages because of it .

Are you just burning the folders directly to the CD? If so the application is problems using non-relative links (i.e. ~/Desktop/Slideshows/1.mov versus just slideshows/1). Were you ever able to do this or has it never worked?

I have had a black macbook with 2 gigs of ram for a while. You need at least 1 gig. My girlfriend had a black macbook with 512 and it was running sluggish after a while, I updated it to 1 gig and it works much better now. You will be happy with t…

I have the 250GB version of that drive. It works well once you get it set up, I preferrer the setup interface of the buffalo drives better. Like I said though, one you get it setup, it is great.

Yes, it will work without a problem. On the other hand, you are also use a 65W charger with a MBP, it just won't charge it, only power it.

I installed a 7200RPM drive in my first 15" MBP, I bought it from MacMall. I followed a video at OWC. The only problem I had was having to moving the SATA cable a little to the left as it covered the breathing hole. I didn't notice a huge speed …
