Transcend is good, as is Corsair. You can also get a Crucial stick from Newegg for $133.

Mac Pro 8 Octo sounds kinda lame.

Keep in mind After Effects Pro is $999, where as Production Studio Premium is $1799...After Effects will stay seperate.

Yeah, mine did that. But thats because I fell down about a dozen stairs holding the MBP and the whole thing was slightly bent/warped. Applecare fixed it. =P

Because when you just spent $2000 on a laptop, maybe you don't have an extra $250 for "correct" RAM. =P *shrug* Works out great for me, it's even faster than 2GBs of normal DDR2-667 due to the dual channelness making up for the lack of bandwidth an…

Ignore the last poster. It will work in your MBP and work just fine. I have 2GBs of Kingston's DDR2-533 in mine because I was cheap and I couldn't find any DDR2-667 in local stores (except Apple's, and they wanted $500 for 2GBs at the time... )

Ugh, just another hack job by Intel to say "we beat you to it!" Two dual core processors glued together and using the same bus.... Unles you really need 8 cores in your Mac Pro, stay away!

Most FB-DIMMs include heatsinks on them. If they don't, then don't worry about it.

I like the keyboard but must give a thumbs down due to no num-pad and the fact that the backlight most likely only works in XP or Vista (does your MBP backlight work on XP...nope...). I really hope Apple releases a backlit desktop keyboard...I use a…

Same problem with my DI-624 Rev. C, but I have it less frequently now that I'm just using it as a G-only access point....I'm using a 2Wire .11b/g wireless router/dsl modem for a router and then have the POS D-Link plugged into that, and then a gigab…

For those of you complaining that the iBooks and Minis used to have discrete graphics: uhm...thats all that was available with the PowerPC. Now that Apple has the option they are chosing to save a few bucks.

Top of the line Mini is $779...or you can get this very similarly equipped eMac for $899...hrm.... Thats a little over the price you'd pay for a keyboard and mouse, and all you lose is the Superdrive...

Yeah I have a Treo 700p for Sprint on my MBP. With cabled tethering I get 80KB/sec - 100KB/sec downloads, and all the way up to 60KB/sec with bluetooth. That and my data plan is only $15 a month instead of $60 for an aircard. And I don't have to upd…

heh..using Illustrator on my MBP is like pulling teeth...Photoshop isn't too bad, but Illustrator makes me want to kill kill kill >:|
