That something in the air better be my 13" MBP/Ultraportable. Argh. I really don't want a 15" MBP, but the build quality of the MacBook I bought last week is uber cheap. And the damn thing is already all scratched up! Come on Apple, don't let me do…

Guys, resolution independence has been nixed from Leopard. It may show up in a point release, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Think Quartz 2D Extreme.

Leopard looks much better if you turn on graphite. I just ranted about that in my blog, and did some screen comparisons. Too bad you lose the traffic lights. Sigh. Hopefully Aqua will be gone soon.

It would be like $60-$100 to have a authorized service center install the drive. It's one of the easier things to do to the computer, but it's still around 21 screws...but if you have the tools and know what you're doing, go for it. But personally I…

If you're going to go for a 30", save yourself about $700 and just get the Dell. Same panel as Apple's, except the Dell has a *better warranty* (three years upgradable to five instead of one year standard). http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...9&…

I guess it's now relatively "easy" to port a program to an Intel Mac. Very nice, I've been looking forward to trying out Avid for some time but haven't gotten around to it.
