Please, Apple, don't make this change at the expense of a 3X or 4X camera. 5X is (mostly) a gimmick for bragging rights. It is sometimes useful, but 72mm is useful far more often, and that camera could use some improvements.

What's less surprising than the fact that fake apps can make it through Apple's overwhelmed review process is the fact that Apple does such a poor job of taking them down when they are reported. You would think that fake apps would be taken down wit…

Honestly, given the history here, Apple deserves to lose this one. I did get myself an Ultra 2 prior to the ban, and quite like it. But seriously, from all the reports, Masimo initially negotiated with them in good faith for a potential deal, then A…

Gawd I hope this isn't the direction Apple is going. I don't mind a 120mm lens, though I'm seriously not going to use it that often. But, killing off the 72mm lens to get that 120mm is insane. If the max simply had a better lens and camera for the 7…

This is as it should be. The Apple-to-Apple features are just going to continue being more advanced and predictable than Apple-to-RCS, and the color coding helps know what doesn't work. Better, though, might be a third color to represent RCS or end-…

About 4 times more Android phones ship per year vs iPhones (both in the US and globally), which has been consistent for years. That means the 4% of new Android sales that are from former iPhone users represents about 16% of iPhone units shipped. Tha…

Consider me highly dubious that any VR based on a headset, even one built into sunglasses will be more than a niche product anytime remotely soon. Maybe Apple will crack the form factor that at least makes it into a mildly successful niche, but th…

Hopefully they won't dumb down FCP itself in order to get feature "parity" like they did with Pages.

I wonder if Apple was just surprised at how little cooling their chips required, which could explain the overbuilt heat sink and cooling fans for the Mac Studio. It seems likely that the M3 Max will run just fine in a Mac mini form factor, and if so…

Protecting in a child's devices, as Apple hints at, does seem like the better way to go. Frankly, that would probably be better in general. Either provide evidence to Apple or Microsoft that you are an adult, which would then remove a flag on the in…

From what I can tell, for 4K video editing, this is noticeably better than most other (single) monitors you can get for less than the price of the Apple Pro Display XDR, since you can have plenty of controls on the screen while still displaying your…

Apple should support third party curation, with some kind of revenue split. That way we can get better app stores, or at least better specialized app stores, but with Apple still getting the revenue it wants (and should receive) to ensure the App ec…

Do Apple and Sonos have some kind of patent deal between them? All the elements that Sonos has gone after Google for infringing are implemented on Apple devices as well, and seem to be integral to AirPlay 2 as well. Perhaps Sonos had to agree to s…
