Logitech markets a K750 solar keyboard that charges quickly. By holding it up to my reading lamp for fifteen seconds, it'll hold a charge for over two weeks. I'd love to have a solar track pad that would do the same. Since I don't carry a track p…

Thanks Marvin, I don't know what I'd do without you and AI. I have Mavericks on my mid 2014 iMac, so I signed up with DropBox. I have Yosemite on my older iMac and will set up MailDrop on it. Thanks again, you da man.

Your first suggestion worked fine. I didn't need to use Terminal. However, I should have explained that I wanted to use the list of Folder names in a Column on a connected computer to add Files in each Folder. . Do you have a fix for that?

I'm not sure how to word this, but since there would be fewer MBP ports, what, in your opinion, would a hub look like? How many ports should it have? I assume different sized hubs will be marketed, but what basic ports would be needed for legacy p…

I'd like to trade in my wireless MTPs for wired ones. How about it, Apple? Market wired or rechargable MTPs. Logitech has one: http://gadgetmac.com/reviews/logitech-rechargeable-bluetooth-trackpad-t651-review.html Also, Mobee makes a recha…

I wear reading glasses; however, I can read documents on the 4K TV eight feet away without glasses whereas I have to be about two feet from the mid-2015 iMac monitor in double view. I don’t think I’d want to use the TV for documents though. It w…

FWIW: I realize that you’re looking for a 4K monitor in the $600 - $800 range, so I’m not suggesting buying what I did. On Black Friday, I bought a new mid 2014 iMac and the Samsung TV (below) on sale at Best Buy for $900 apiece. The TV normall…

I had a similar problem with an older MBP. I tried several suggestions that didn’t work, so I tried connecting an exterior monitor which worked perfectly. My conclusion was that the monitor was bad and not necessarily the MBP. However, the MBP ev…

I spoke too soon. After spending a lot of time downloading the last few years of bank accounts and tweaking them to bring them up to date, the newer info disappeared when I tried to find it again. I have no idea what happened to the new downloads. …

I couldn't find the Intel version of Quicken 2007 on Intuit's site, so I texted and discussed it with a Quicken rep who sent me the disc. For $15, it was worth taking a chance on, and, as far as I can tell, so far, it seems to work just like the Pow…

Alles ist kaput. Server icons have disappeared from the SideBar, DeskTop, and Network, and all attempts to access the Server from the Client have failed. The suggestions you made did work for a time, but . . . Again, I would think the problem is…

Update: This a.m, Server icons had disappeared from the client DeskTop and from the Finder SideBar. However I was able to access the Server by using Command-K. I was also able to replace the Desktop and SideBar icons with minimal effort, but It'…

Irnchriz, Okay. I followed your directions and now there's connection from client to server. However, pardon me if I'm pessimistic. I've been at this point twice before. e.g., on 11/26/14, when I bought this iMac. Secondly, when I followed Marv…

Marvin, I think this is a losing battle. The situation keeps changing from day to day if not hour by hour. Tweaking wi-fi doesn’t help. At times, the Server shows up on the network; then, a few minutes later, it’s gone. When it does appear, so…

I’m back to square one. On the Client, the Server doesn’t appear under Network at all, now,, and if I use Command K, I get the error message: “There was a problem connecting to the server —- —-.101. Contact your system administrator for more i…
