Hi Marvin, Phiewer got very bad reviews and the only positive review said it made thumbnails (not animation). You don't need an app to make thumbnails. Just replace .webp with .heic; then open the file in Preview - go to View and click Thumbnails.…

Marvin, Xee doesn't open on my computer. I've downloaded it 6 times. No luck. It may not be compatible with Big Sur. I've looked online and found that it doesn't open for others. Thanks anyway. You've solved many of my past problems. Sequitur

Unfortunately, Webponize doesn't work either. I have a two year old MacMini, the latest Big Sur os and the latest Safari browser. WebPonize shows: To convert, either:Drag and drop the images onto the application window or the Dock icon.Use "Open" i…

Tallest Skil, Thanks, but I'm on an iMac w/ OS X Sierra.

tallest skil said: You’re sure it’s the latest? Do you use Safari? Check Preferences/Security/Plug-in Settings for the exact version number (should be 25.0.0.171). They’ve been really annoying as of late and update their 25.0.0.XXX segment …

That's all well and good, but if Safari doesn't work at all, what good is it? Evidently, you haven't read my description of the problem. Do you have any suggestions about how to make it work?

I assume this is the latest version that comes with Sierra. Safari Version 10.0 (12602.1.50.0.10)

I downloaded Sierra thinking that would bring Safari back, but it didn't. Safari won't open URLs and, if I try to open a new window in Safari, it slides off the right side of the desktop and out of sight. I have no other desktops open and no way to …

I wanted to edit my last post. There used to be a 'pen' icon to do that, but I don't see it now. I wanted to add MP4's to the list. There are probably others as well, but I can't recall them.

Click on a file (JPG, GIF, etc.); press space bar; a larger version of the Preview pops up. The larger version can be moved by 'grabbing' it anywhere and dragging it to where you want it.

I still have the same problem with the 27" iMac; however, after several reboots, I can now access it from another iMac. It's dark but evidently operating in some manner.

Thanks Marvin, info much appreciated. I thought I was the only one with the problem. I dislike Apple's way of taking away things that have been useful. Case in point: the Calendar drawer; the MacMail spinning wheel that indicates that Mail is hunti…

I went further. I made a folder called D/T (DeskTop) and put all folders and files in it. Then changed to 'Snap to Grid' and put the D/T at the bottom right. It'll take one more step to open a desk top file or folder, but other than that one folder,…

If no one knows a way to access MacMail on a second computer, can someone tell me how to word a google search to find an answer. However I've worded the question, I get umpteen answers that don't match my query. With Macs in millions of homes and …
