  • For collaboration, Google docs exceeds both iWork and Office packages. Nothing beats having only one document online to get confused about. The only argument for buying MS Office for Mac would be full compability between Mac/PC versions. I have V…

  • So, how does Forklift compare to Cyberduck. Cyberduck is free, which is pretty compelling. Would Forklift be a significant enough update to justify buying it?
  • I can understand ypur longing for another Claris Homepage 3, i really loved that program back then. But times has changed a lot. I think you should look into iWeb, as its really easy to make something both good looking AND minimalist like you see…

  • August is the latest. You have a 30 day trial of iWork on your new Mac, so use that until then. Or TextEdit- it can read and write the Word file format. Maybe you will never go back to MS Office
  • I fail to see how Bean differs significantly from Textedit, with the exception of word count.
  • We know a lot of the new features and UI changes in the upcoming Office 2008. To my best knowledge, practically nothing of the next version of iWork. Can anyone offer any known info or kindly summarize what has been rumored??

  • I recently switched to Camino 1.1b, the latest version. It finally allowed me to switch away from Safari. My main reason for switching was rendering issues. Many websites are optimised for IE, fewer for Firefox/Camino , but even less for Safari. …

  • Pure greed, or 'making money' is the ultimate explanation behind any *commercial* enterprise such as Apple. But, we are of course talking about proximate reasons here. One could rephrase your reason in the reverse: would a more complete iWork …
  • Lets face is: iWork has been a fiasco for Apple. Do not misread me: I love it myself and use it on a daily basis. Especially Keynote is a very able presentation application and beats the #%#% out of Powerpoint. But given that Pages only has a tiny m…
  • There is Grammarian though..
  • I think the truth is that Keynote 1 doesn't work on Intel Macs, BUT I haven't tried it myself. If you decide to buy a newer version of iwork, please notice that an update is supposed to come out anytime.
  • To my knowledge there exists no such software for the Mac. There is plenty of writer's software available, but in regards to grammar tools the only option is MS Word. I do believe that the next OS X version 10.5 Leopard will have some grammar fun…
