Two questions: 1. which one seems to have more features and work better? 2. everytime I will want to upgrade parallels, what do I have to do? What about the whole installation I did? Applications, windows setting etc remain unchanged? Or do I h…

I look to their site but I do not find the information I want. Any history list(what change to every version)? Latest stable version (code number)? Latest beta version (code number)? I mean in their site, not by looking to this lovely forum.

How many years the parallels will be in 'beta' version? Does this mean it could crash the whole system?
-
What is better to do for use windows only through parallels? Install win with bootcamp and use it using parallels, or install win inside parallels(without bootcamp)?

Brian Green thanks for your response. Good news indeed.

My printer -canon pixma 4000-has mac os x driver, but my scanner is quite old (hp) and has no mac os x driver. So I hoped there is a solution through parallels.

Can you please tell me if I can use peripherals like scanners, printers etc using windows inside parallels?
-
So, your suggestions tell me go ahead and install the new version over the old one. It is the easy way and in mac world I should not expect any problems. Everything ok?

melgross thank you. Is there any time limitation? What does it mean 'free trial' for parallels' product?
-
Can anyone tell me if this version available for downloading from their site, is fully functional without any limitations?
-
eightball0, is it a demo version? Time or functionality limited?

http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...tiiiexile.html what about this one? edit: sorry, I just saw it was released in 2001!

I wonder how much slower is the 5400rpm disk compared to 7200rpm, in real-world conditions.
-
How they 'locked' the disk to be only 5400rpm? By firmware or by hardware? Why the previous mbp has the 7200 option and the new one does not? One step forward, one step back?

Nobody else seems to interest in 7200rpm hard disks...

Take a look at this: http://www.notebook.de/index.php?sec...up=393&lang=en 7200 option! What is going on?

I would like to fit one at any cost! But it seems that apple does not matter if all these new macbooks get slow because of hard disk. I want it for professional use, I have to pay so much to buy it (instead of pc laptop) and I dont have the option -…
