great post Marvin, the great improvements to the new macs only make the downfalls even worse. if the improvements weren't great then I wouldn't care that I am now looking for a used last gen version, [that doesnt have the improvements, but also …

i agree with the statements about all the "blacks" that are used should match [all glossy or all matte] I dont mind the black keys, or really even the wide black border around the monitor, you can argue that it acts as a "framing element" to the …

I know it is hopeless to expect a matte version of this monitor, and it being glossy isnt as bad, since it is for a desktop [unacceptable to be so high gloss on a laptop], and one should be able to adjust their surroundings at least a bit. [maybe no…

the reason I, and probably many people, have a big problem with the "high-gloss" of this "glass-gloss" [which I am assuming is more glossy than the previous macbooks "plastic-gloss"], is the DISTRACTION factor. sure the matte screen it is a bit fuz…

exactly. i know how the older plastic covered glossy screens look on the last model of macbook pros. [and they aren't too bad, but the iMacs with glass always look bad when ever i see or try them] that is why i am asking if others have noticed …

love the "dock" aspect of this... the glossy, errr. might not be a problem, certainly not as big a problem as the macbook pro being glossy. maybe with an aftermarket monitor hood this will be perfect... hopefully someone will make a nice looking …

does anyone know if there is a difference is "glossiness" level between the glass-covered iMac and the plastic covered macbook pros [previous model] ??? since the new macbook pros are covered in actual glass like the iMacs. [ I ask because i hav…

anyone have a previous gen. glossy macbook pro and a glass-glossy imac to compare the level of glare & reflection? i am interested in how the last model with plastic-glossy compares to the new model with glassy-glossy

ok what I want to know is how this new "glassy-glossy" differs from the glossy that is on the previous generation Macbooks and Macbook Pros? The glassy-glossy iMacs have always bothered me. [I am still on a first gen imac g5 because of the glass…
