I'm no expert but offhand, perhaps adding the Last Played field to the library and sorting on that basis would help. I don't know of a way to open on a playlist or another view within the library.

Can't explain it, but I was not able to transfer an MP3 between 2 PCs running iTunes using a flash drive either. I've run into this problem on some burned MP3 CDs but so far I'm blaming that on the disc itself.
