  • OK maybe I'm stupid, but what are the agency's other two letters? And, yes, I probably am stupid so everyone can laugh at me when my question is answered.
  • hnm, any suggestions as to how i might be able to provide more feedback/benchmarks/scores? i kinda don't know how to do that myself, i just read what other people have done but seeing as how i have one, id like to.
  • haha 64,000 yes. i think its odd how no one else with one of these computers has checked and informed us?
  • so... basically its not a turbocache thing because that card isnt turbocache enabled? then its either A Bootcamp bug B XP flaw? or C it actually comes with 512 mb of vram but os x purposely only uses half of it whereas xp doesnt care?
  • Yeah, enabling N wouldn't really help. Unless one of those networks was a new N network, you would gain nothing. But, for the future, I just bought a new MBP and a new Aiport Extreme, and the range is amazing. So easy too.
  • Oh, ok. So can anyone else with a new MBP check this out on bootcamp? I'd like to know if mine is unique or if they all do this. This makes me happy for games
  • Yeah, I had a PowerBook G4 just last week and I was waiting originally for Apple to release new MBP's and Leopard. Then they pushed back Leopard but updated the MBPs. I highly doubt they are going to release new MBPs before Leopard. I have had my ne…
  • OK, maybe I'm just weird but I don't understand when people say "Apple are." Does that make sense? Apple is one thing, not many. Apples are doing something. Apple is doing something. Apple is clearing the stage. Apple is doing a tidy up exercise. Gi…
  • Well, I remember some article a month or so ago saying that the '0X was going to come off of the name and it was instead going to be released as something like iLife Leopard and iWork Leopard. So, instead of those being program suites separate from …
  • "We got a million people waiting to buy it so we're hoping we get a million." They don't even know? That scares me. When one million people inquire about the phone it means that most likely at least one million people will want to buy the phone. Th…
  • I've been waiting patiently with my PowerBook for the Santa Rosa chips to come out. My way of figuring out when to update is read the rumor and news sites for predicted upcoming additions to notebooks and choose one that seems significant enough for…
  • It's funny because I've had shapeshifter installed for so long that when I looked at those pictures I could have sworn that's how the default already looks. I suppose that means that they HARDLY changed it... which sucks. Oh, and I HATE the folde…
  • I will say this: I bought a USB drive and was kinda disappointed at the speed. It was nice to be able to interface, however, with older computers that only had USB or PC switchers that needed their stuff to be moved for them. I ended up getting anot…
  • Before my advice to switchers was wait till June. Now, it't buy now. My advice to myself: Wait till the hardware changes significantly. Apple wants to do incremental Wow type of things. If they release awesome new hardware AND Leopard then all the h…
  • My feeling is that because they are depriving their die-harders of the new OS, that they will give us the other thing we like so much... the hardware in advance of the OS. It only makes sense because not only does the hardware appeal to us die-harde…
  • OMG I'm about to hang myself... ok not really but I PLANNED to upgrade my 15" powerbook in late June/July. Now what the hell am I supposed to do? I have to wait till November to upgrade my now defunct and soon to be even more defunct G4. AREWBANLDFG…

  • I have a: PowerBook G4 1.67ghz 1.5GB ram 15" 80gb hard drive 2x250gb LaCie hard drives, one USB and FAT32, the other FireWire and macosx journaled all the other things you'd expect. I use my computer for downloading a lot (I use a lot of th…
  • Well, that was the case when Apple had its Four Areas of concentration... the consumer and pro versions of its laptops and its desktops. Then, over time, they added squares in the middle and then the whole squares idea was thrown out. If you'll reme…
