After three futile tries on March 7, following Apple's announcement, I got my online order in and today, the Apple Store has sent me the same email as above. Its UPS tracking says it's due to arrive on March 16th!:

I read elsewhere that these iPads approved to be used by Pilots inside the flight decks of commercial airlines need NOT be turned off for the duration of the flight, from preflight to post.

I have a 15" PBG4 running OSX 10.4.9. Since installing iTunes 7.7.1 update, iTunes quits every time I launch it. Any help will be appreciated.

I, too, had been waiting patiently and as soon as the iPhone hits the streets, er, Apple's brick-and-mortar stores or online, I'm definitely getting one.
