Naive huh? Well, that's saying it a bit bluntly. I unfortunately got duped, and yes I should have known better. At least I didn't pay the money for it, which is the good part. Looks like I'm back to finding another mac.

Ebay just sent me an e-mail telling me that the listing has been canceled and that the individual is being investigated. Looks like he wash't legit. I'm glad that I never went through with the transaction, so I'm not out $500.

I got it off ebay. I'm hoping everything turns out ok - the seller had a whole variety of apple computers for sale, and a pretty decent user rating too. Hopefully it turns out alright for me - I've never had a Mac before and am very excited.

When will Apple release a 64 bit version of their processor? Is it worth it to wait for them to come out? I thought the Core 2 Duo was a 64 bit processor. EDIT: Is the Core Duo 32 bit and the Core 2 Duo 64?

Thanks for the info. How do updates on OS X work? When a new version comes out do you have to repurchase the os (like windows)? What about software updates?

I've been reading where word processing programs have been running sluggishly - why is that? Do you really need 2 gigs to run something like word?
