Basilisk is an emulator to run System 7 or OS 8 on a PC. There aren't any PowerPC emulators for x86 machines, so the best they can do is emulate a Quadra (which can run up to OS 8.1). That's still good for many games, though, such as Escape Velocity…

The iBook is low end and although 64 MB really would fit better with it, I guess Apple will continue holding back the VRAM. That's my one complaint with their products right now - VRAM needs to double across the board. Every Mac should have twice as…

Redundant. And, why do you say "without restrictions?" A PowerBook is without restrictions. A slab-like desktop is with restrictions - you can't use it on a plane or on your lap because you have to use an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Another option if you want to do it quick and on the fly is to hold down shift while pressing the up button. It'll get louder beyond the maximum.

I totally agree with you on #1. The number of people who will use a higher resolution are small, while the number of people who will have to set the resolution below native are fairly high. And that would suck. Ever tried to use an LCD at below the …

The WiFi (Apple calls it Airport Extreme) capability is added through an internally installed card. You get the card, open the case, and install it. The card hooks up to an antenna built into the case. It's not external. iBooks get excellent wireles…

Actually, you know what? I can't believe I didn't notice that Steve was only 25% pants until now. I mean, look. It's pretty obvious if you know what you're looking for.
