Thanks PB i would suspect a hard ware fault but i have 3 machines and thay r all the same ????..when i got them secondhand yesterday they were all up and running in Tiger ...but i need them to run os9 ....and not 1 will boot os9 no way atall ...can …

WHY CANT I JUST START AGAIN ?????...i have instaled a blank hard drive in to the indigo now ...and it still will not boot from any os9 disks or sytem install disks ..only osx disks will mount at start up ....

Right this is turning into a nightmare ...i have put in the os9 boot disk ..then held down option on start up and it dont see the disk imige ....but see's the hard drive ..i then did the same with an osx disk ..and it saw that no problem ...so i too…

Thanks for your replies ......bit mor info ...ANY OSX disk put in the slot hold down C boots no problem ANY PREOSX cd in slot hold down C still boots up in OSX ...so i am stuck

The main problem is that when i hold down the C key ...the macene will not boot from the install cd it just starts in tiger ...so i copied the sytem folder from the install cd ...changed start up disk ...and that dont work just starts in tiger ...tr…
