Re-sale value of the newer Alu model is gonna be better. If that doesn't bother you and you're not a 'must have the very latest' kinda person then take the cheaper deal and chuck 4GHz of non-Apple RAM into it It's still a killer machine

iDVD is limited to 2hrs For quick and easy, no frills burning I like Visualhub, which I believe is now called FilmRedux Takes pretty much anything you can throw at it and converts to many formats, not just DVD
