Just before the last panic I heard one of the hard drives spin up, then Kernel FAIL Have updated the firmware from the WD site to see if there are any changes to the current routine

I don't have a NAS device, just two external WD drives, one via USB, the other Firewire. There is an Apple Extreme base station connected but no hard drive onto that - just an HP printer (which I am disconnecting now)

Thanks, that's a common link to all the panics I have temporarily removed the NDAS Utility from the Application folder, which is where this driver was. I shall report back in a few days. Thanks for the advice
