  • does converting from WMA (lossy) to ACC (lossy) result in an even lossier file? I would imagine that converting to the new lossless format would keep the converted WMA files at the highest possible quality, but it seems that converting to ACC would…
  • wow, they should bring that back! i'd be all over it like a pitbull on a poodle
  • I guess this just depends on if you can afford to wait. If you need the machine within the next month, then buy the 1ghz. If you don't need it until school starts, and will be able to get the new model before then, i'd say hold out for the 1.33ghz m…

  • I miss dome wars those were the days! is there an OS X counterpart?
  • depending on your settings, the movie may not be resized to fullscreen by default. command-0 enters full screen mode and command-3 resizes the video to fill the screen.
  • If you were to go bluetooth for the mouse and keyboard, the only cables that would be plugged in and out often would the the ADC cable, and eithernet. I doubt the eithernet port would have problems. Not sure about the ADC. Why not buy applecare (…

  • I don't think any apple product has used the '57. AFAIK the PBs released in Sept 2003 use the 7447. I believe the 7457 supports a L3 cache. The PBs dont' use this, so there is no need for the 57.
  • your machine will come with an apple sticker. Or did you want one before you get the machine?
  • Well it seems to me that your choice comes down to portability. Do you really need a notebook? Do you plan on bringing your machine to school, etc? if so, go for the 15" PB If not, you will get more bang for your buck by buying the tower. I'm …
  • this happens to me from time to time. just unplug the power adapter from the mac and plug it back in. Works everytime. edit: not sure how to fix the ichat thing

  • The sound on my 15" AlBook is good imo. Its just a little too quiet. As mentioned before, its nothing compared to most external speakers.
  • You forgot to mention that you were drinking with some high ranking apple people and they spilled the beans.
  • I'm sure you could pick the same thing up from radio shack for much cheaper. But if you must have the best possible quality, go with the monster version.
  • It also has a 1ghz processor. Could it be the old model with the optical drive removed? the gfx card isn't mentioned, but the ram is still DDR 333, so i'm gussing everything else is the same
