If the laws were written competently then there would be none of this to and fro or the idea that corporate entities should adhere to a a vaguely ill or non defined “spirit of the law”. The EU approach makes a mockery of “law”.

We so need Maxon to bring out ZBrush for Vison (digital sculpting in 3d stereo spatial view) in conjunction with a new spatial Logitech, Apple or Wacom pen/stylus!

I remember someone I know buying a graphics card to put in their PC for $3,500 around the year 2000… I had the AVP demo recently and it was, even for me, surprisingly good. It’s head and shoulders above what I have seen in the alternatives from M…

TimC should tell Trump that Apple will, because of the impact of the tariffs, no longer have the revenue to invest in US manufacturing at all.

I’ve lost track of the number of times the Google AI Overview has been flat out 100% factually wrong on something - it even happened to me today when researching specifications of Display Tablets. This is not surprising when there is so much garba…

Without the app store (software) people would not buy an iPhone, and without an iPhone (hardware) people wouldn’t use the app store. Therefore they are so linked and intertwinned that they are essentially a single product. The app store is not a …

Nope, APM are definitely mid-range here in the UK. I know people on minimum wage (working in supermarkets) that have them (bought them for themselves not gifted or something). The IEMs that I prefer to AirpodsPro cost twice what AirpodsPro do and a…

It would be nice if this was built into the OS for sure, but I speak as someone who has in the past used distributed rendering, such as multiple Macs 3D rendering a single image (e.g. CrowdRender for Blender).

If you look at Adobe apps for example, they benefit more from CPU as long as the GPU is at a certain level. Once a user has a mid-range GPU then they don’t need GPU as much as RAM & CPU (and the real-life RAM requirements have decreased with App…

Wish they’d make the next SE the mini form-factor.

I guess Apple need to stop selling in the EU. Let EU citizens import the devices from the UK if they want them.
