All large US multinationals can avoid paying taxes on income derived overseas yet individual US taxpayers have to pay on worldwide income in BOTH US and Foreign countries. The fact is the US tax code need serious reform and to be simplified. I'm a…

From the company that off shored billions (~10B) to avoid its tax liability to subsidized dividends for corporate shareholders, I find this 'lobbying' by Tim Cook completely disingenuous. The pot called the kettle black ....

Apple is using every loophole and trick known to Wall Street and leveraging offshore accounts to "pay every dollar they owe" which is very little. They used loopholes to pay dividends. Now, I'm all for business and pro-business but this App…

Apple is slipping at the moment - getting complacent with its success. It's UI has not fundamentally changed much since 2007. iPhone 5 was not much more than a stretched out 4s Samsung will most likely sell more S4 than iPhone.

One more thing - seriously, flyover in Modesto and Stockton? Really? What's next? Flyover in Gary, Indiana? Compton, CA? Queens, NY? a garbage dump? LOL

Who cares about flyover when the underlying data from Tom Tom is still crap

It's very good for a Web app (HTML5). Looking forward to a native iOS client which will have a nice UI, faster and support more features. I like the public transportation option

I completely agree - Apple Maps, often incorrect data especially outside US, no street view, no public transport, no turn by turn, no mobile offline support, closed ecosystem wall garden, no web api's

If you were Samsung, wouldn't you raise your prices 20% after Apple sued them for violating patents - some of them a little egregious And Apple is looking at moving production to TSMC. I would do this if I were Samsung

Agreed but Maps and Siri were the last straws - there were many other issues for his outing. Ive is taking over. Regarding Bing, my understanding is that they migrating and that Nokia location platform is powering Bing Maps on mobile and so…

Wy do you think heads are rolling and Forstall and crew are being led out the door? See, you're making crap up. Zero facts about the matter. You don't actually know this, and so this is just a supposition. @TallestSkll …

... think I must have hit a nerve but let's just stick to a few facts on Mapping & Location technology here beyond the dumb and personal comments about me or LA. Beyond the veneer of a map layer, there is a composite of many map data and visu…

Automotive? That was a laugh - Apple's non-functional Franken Maps will drive you into a tree or completely wrong direction. It will take a 2-3 of years at least to get the level where Nokia and Google are at. The data is terrible and even wors…

That is true AppleBuser. Nokia licensed data from C3 and Apple bought C3. One could make the analogy that Nokia got the milk while Apple bought the cow (any maybe overpaid for the cow too!)

What;s the problem with Apple Maps? Well, firstly they Suck. Secondly it will take 1.5 years at least to catch up to both Nokia/Navteq and Google. Bottom line, Apple is going to collect your data, your positioning data, toss out TomTom (t…
