The DVD playback issue is a software problem that will be corrected in the next 10.2.x update. Don't feel that it has any bearing on the actual performance of the hardware whatsoever. Using my PowerBook 800 with an 1024x768 external display simul…

We are artsy people that don't know much about computers.

I bought my PowerBook 800 a mere week and a half before the 1GHz models came out, and I couldn't do shit about it. My advice to you? If you're really worried about not having the top of the line machine when you buy, you should just pick up the $…

Aww... Oh.

Well, he does have a point. Macs aren't computers; thus, you cannot get computer experience from using one. They are similar, though. Hell, even Tony Hawk says, "If you can use a computer, you can use a Mac."

I definitely have to vote no, considering that even the entry-level iBook, priced at $999, is a much faster machine. The only thing that Ti has over the iBook is screen size and resolution (albeit not by much).

I switched my friend's mom. My girlfriend will also switch when she has the money to handle the outrageous prices of Macs.

I think the 17" iMac is a great, great value. By the time you get a comparable display on that 1.25, you're going to be spending twice as much, and you'll end up with a noisy machine that takes up more space. And don't even think about going with…

Nope, Steve Jobs was assigned to me, as fate might have had it, for my Computer Tech class. I almost ended up with Larry Ellison, go figure. Instead of frollicking to and fro to websites on information, I let Audible tell me the lengthy history o…

This is one of my rough drafts for my Steve Jobs paper, on how he has been crucial to the industry in pushing things forward. There have been more advanced versions since, and there are some grammar screw-ups and stuff, but this should help you. Fee…

I visit a very small message board of about thirty regulars, and I made this post there. Since I'm just too effin' lazy to edit it for this message board, you guys are going to have to make do with the inconsistencies and, in general, the things tha…

Steve's top three excuses for having bought an iCurve. 1) It looks freakin' cool and matches the transparent legs of my monitor. 2) You can keep peripherals (i.e. camera, etc.) under it. 3) Better ventilation. Lord knows TiBooks get super hot w…

Yeah, I had an external Studio Display, and it has caused so much lag in the interface, it was nearly intolerable. Quartz Extreme and the 800DVI's Radeon 7500 just can't keep up with that 1280x864 display PLUS another 1024x768 one. Yeah, I'm bitt…

Omg, I LOVED SimAnt... They really need to make a modern sequel to that game.

What the hell does a processor have to do with networking.
