One problem solved! In Safari I went to Preferences and enabled plug-ins. All is well for Safari.

I've closed down both and retried. I also have rebooted. Same results: In Safari: Install Flash Player. In Firefox: Sound but black screen.

Yes I did.I suppose I could have bought the extra RAM elsewhere and installed it myself but this is my first Apple and, at this point, I'd rather not do that.

As I said earlier, I opted for the basic but went with 2 GB of RAM. I'm of the opinion to get as much RAM as you can. Maybe I'm stuck in the PC world but it's probably a good thing. If I have to I'll burn DVD's on my PC. Or use my son's Pro! It's…
