This rumor again? Apple shouldn’t waste time trying to compete with essentially disposable commodity items from dozens of manufacturers. What’s next, a “smart” microwave? I’d say Apple should try to make Apple TV 4K work a little better with dumb …

OK, Apple’s RAM and SSD prices are expensive, but if you want or need more RAM and more internal storage, especially with a MacBook Pro, you have NO choice but to pay up. Complaining about it is like buying a BMW or Mercedes and complaining about t…

My wife’s AirPods Pro v1 had that issue. I just bought her a set of version 2. i had no idea it was an issue or that Apple had a replacement policy. My first generation AirPods Pro are fine. I just had to buy foam buds so they stay in my ears. The …

You don’t need to use iCloud for anything if you choose not to. i only started using it because syncing Contacts, Calendars and Bookmarks on all my devices (Mac, iPhone, iPad) was dodgy. Even now contacts and calendars aren’t 100%. My phone has 4 c…

An apologist’s take on a poor design decision. Even if you don’t need to use the power button very often, when you DO need it, it shouldn’t require hunting for it or using kludges like that 3D printed power button pusher.

Cool idea, although It would be better if it were a fixed base with some sort of shallow dent the mini would sit in. You could move it around without having to realign the restart lever and the power Button.

So what are the speed differences between the 16” MacBook Pro with M3 Max and M4 Max?

Hmmmm, this could be an interesting alternative to an Apple TV 4K and double as a media hub. I could ditch my Synology NAS and plug a RAID into the Mac mini instead. Most of the video streaming I do can be done with Safari. I'll often plug my Mac i…

I always liked the iMac G4. Cool design and fun to work with. The half-dome body was kind of limiting, but visually striking. Today, nobody wants a 17” screen. 24” is kind of a minimum, but that’s for a computer. A “smart device” is a different cr…

I’ve been a Mac user forever, love all my Apple products (MacBook Pro M3, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV 4K) and certainly have enjoyed the chunk of Apple stock I bought 15 or so years ago, BUT, I will NEVER sit around with one of those things on my head.…

Why can’t Apple just make a WIRED extended keyboard? I don’t want mor3 things to charge. It seems like life revolves around charging various devices. iPhone, iPad, a number of LED lights scattered around the house, portable vacuum, camera batteries……

I’ll stick with my KEF LS60s and dual KC62 subwoofers.

Recently in my travels, there have been a number of museums I visited that use the GetYourGuide app. It seems similar to what Ticketmaster is attempting to do.

applesauce007 said: A smaller version of the G4 iMac would be awesome! That was my first thought, too! The G4 iMac was cool and fun to look at. I liked the G4 Mac Cube, too. I had a couple of clients that had both of those Macs. It w…

Since upgrading my iPad Pro 11" and iPhone 13 Pro to iOS 18, I've noticed unrecognized taps. It seemed like apps freezing. If I switch to another app, then back it would go away. In browsers, reloading pages seemed to unfreeze them. Not great. Hope…

StrangeDays said: The Ultra Bounce iPhone case strikes the perfect balance between style and protection. …perfect balance? That thing is honkin’ huge! You'd need honkin' big pockets to carry the thing, too. Maybe just a kangaroo pouch.

Funny how Incipio Duo and Duo for MagSafe cases are never mentioned. I've been using them for years. Nice looking, not bulky, well made, well priced and rated for a 12 foot drop. I've dropped my phone on everything, asphalt, concrete, ceramic tile…

I saw that someone "remade" Time Bandits and just thought WHY? Just go to Terry Gilliam's original film. Absolutely GREAT!

I much prefer a wired keyboard and trackball. That means fewer things to charge and better than Bluetooth. I have a Matias wired, backlit Mac keyboard. Not as chunky as this thing and quite a bit cheaper, too.
