  • Das Keyboard MacTigr Review: Sturdy and simple mechanical keyboard

I much prefer a wired keyboard and trackball.
That means fewer things to charge and better than Bluetooth.

I have a Matias wired, backlit Mac keyboard. Not as chunky as this thing and quite a bit cheaper, too.

  • UK drops App Store investigation, says it has better things to do

The UK is suffering greatly from the travesty and sheer idiocy of Brexit.
Chasing Apple for isn’t worth the effort, apparently.

  • Retro gold rush: which emulators are on the App Store, and what's coming

I never played any of the gaming systems listed in the article, but it would be amazing to see a Mac game emulator with the ability to play games designed for Motorola 680x0 and PowerPC processors.
I still have disk images and installers of lots of games from that era in my archive.

    Probably never happen though.

I’d be better off just digging out and booting up my old Titanium PowerBook.

  • Top 5 mice for Macs -- for gamers, professionals, and everyone in between

Mice aren’t ergonomic. I don’t what whizzy shapes or colors they come in.
Mouse inflicted hand strain is a feature, with mice, not a bug.

I’m a trackball guy. My longtime favorite trackball is the Kensington Expert Mouse Trackball.
They have wired or wireless versions. I prefer wired. I have 2. One for home, one in my travel bag.

How could this be omitted from the article?

I tried lots of different trackballs over time, but this is the best. Hands down.

Ergonomically fantastic. The ball is good sized, 2.1” (55mm), rolls quickly, very easily and with ZERO mouse-claw hand strain.
It has the scroll ring around the mouse, which like the ball, is incredibly fast and easy to use. Way better than those dinky scroll wheels.
    4 programmable buttons, too.

    Perfect for multiple monitor setups.
Very accurate. I use it for Vectorworks 2D/3D CAD, Photoshop, gaming. Absolutely GREAT!

  • M4 Mac mini rumored to get a redesign making it smaller than ever before

What would be the 24" - 27" monitor of choice to pair this with these days? Anything out there remotely as good as an iMac display but less expensive than a Studio monitor?
In 27-inch, you have 3 choices for a 5K monitor.
    Apple
    LG
    Samsung

So, how do you deal with the minuscule Menu Bar and application palettes in 4K or 5K?
Is there a way to make the MenuBar BIGGER?
What about application palettes, especially ones with lots of text?

I found 4K mode unusable because of that with my 27" Viewsonic monitor.
