This is the list: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...ware_hardware/ Don't see one for yours, you can find the current installed version at Apple Logo > About this Mac > More Info. This opens System Profiler

TC is considered a NAS, but not very reliable, due to only being a single drive. Check out the D-Link DNS 323. It will do RAID 1 with 2 drives, only about $175, also Linux driven & has iTunes server as well. It will do AFP, so it will work v…

The Mac and Windows libraries are not compatible, the formatting is different. You will want to "consolidate" your library: moves all the files to the iTunes Library folder.

Call the 800 # or take it to the local authorized repair center. For returns, I think it's within 14 days and a fee: 10% of purchase.. http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Im....html#topic-20 Read the DOA clause. I don't think they call tha…

The iPod might think that it's linked to another library or something... Do you have automatic sync enabled or do you drag stuff over manually? I would do a full restore on the ipod, and do an auto sync to a created playlist with songs eg: "many…

If OS X is your main production then you can use a RAID 1. Do you need a whole 500gb for windoze? Otherwise you could use bootcamp and make a partition for XP, then use the 3rd 500gb drive for TM. You could get another drive and put in there... newe…

You might be able to assign the key an empty function in the System prefs, under the Keyboard & Mouse. If it's one of the white kbs or older, you can simply pop the key off with a small screw driver or knife, but that wouldn't look as nice anymo…

well, I don't torrent & I got the same issue: the connection just drops to 1 bar and comes back after 30-60 sec, or it goes completely out. Have to logoff and back on my OS X acct or switch to another acct to get it back.

OS X & the windows driver install contain a boot utility, it will show up on XP in the system tray next to the clock, you can pick from there as well the boot drive.

Hold option key at startup. pick the drive you want to boot from... the Mac drive will be what it's named on your desktop, the XP drive will simply say Windows

DON'T use the ibook if you want to recover anything... It was the tech that did it... you will have to try and do a scan on the drive with a commercial utility & an external drive: Data Rescue II from www.prosofteng.com or File Salvage…

Were you planning on doing a RAID or any sort? 1 more drive and you could have had a nice RAID 10 setup... As far as HDD space goes, that doesn't matter 32 vs 64 bit, that's with the ram. Windoze 32 will only see about 3.5 to 4 gigs of ram. Boot…

What I would do is buy a SATA drive & a Firewire case, that system will actually run faster on the FW interface and running a SATA drive because yoy would max out the 400 mbit connection, versus the internal 100 or 133 mbit connection it has for…

you both have to be the same subnet ie: on the SAME router at the SAME time. There are some hacks to open this up more, checkout lifehacker.com for a good list there of itunes hacks & extras.

Case 1: Do you have a .mac page or publishing the iweb page to a godaddy hosted acct? To fwd a domain, you login to godaddy.com homepage, select Domans > My Domains. On the list, check the domain name and click the Forward icon on the tool bar. …

If you are to try the process again, your plan looks fine, but if the drive is suspect, a good way is to write zeros to the drive. Apple disk utility calls this secure delete under the "options" button in the erase panel of the DU. Pick the root dri…
