I'm still so confused by why they cut the support on the 2006 models. I assume they just didn't want to go through the trouble of porting drivers over, but those people (myself included) with these '06 Macs really would have appreciated the effor…

BLU-RAY Thank you. I don't think the technology is quite mainstream enough for Apple to include it yet. The majority of people just don't care about it yet - it hasn't become the standard yet (will it ever?), so people will just stick with DVD…

I was hoping for price drops more than anything, but now that you mention it I'm sure there will be a 64 GB version next update. I've already settled on the 32 GB version for myself. I don't need any more than that, but I can't deal with only 16 …

A or B. C looks incredibly stupid and Apple would never do that. :P In fact, I'm going to go so far to say that they'll never put any kind of card reader into their systems. They're not the most attractive things, and Apple is all about the aesth…

I'd really like to see them, and with backlighting on the wired ones. But I agree with Kolchak that black with white is harder to read in the dark - so, wireless might not work so great in black.

Here's an idea: Everyone needs to stop posting topics with question marks at the end, unless there are actually some facts to back up the rumor they just started by doing so. The chip itself making its way into Apple computers is very possible, I…

The hands in pictures 2 and 3 appear irreparably crippled. I'm just sayin'.

I, personally, do not think the Touch Nano is going to happen. Why? http://forums.appleinsider.com/showthread.php?t=89566 If Apple's getting rid of the 'fatboy' look on the nanos, why would they implement it on the Touches? Unless the Touch Na…

Yeah, it's not a bad mockup, but I don't see this happening. And with how much Apple charges for their 30" displays, I can't imagine a 46"-er with the functionality of a current Apple TV. I don't think the price would be good for what you'd be g…

From the pictures I've seen, the difference doesn't look too severe anyway. And given better image quality overall, I'd say it's definitely a fair trade-off.

There's no external volume buttons on the iPod Touch? Didn't know that... Yeah, they should definitely add that feature.
-
I doubt it... That would be like getting a backlit keyboard on a regular MacBook. It's one of those cool features that everyone would *like* to see, but probably just isn't going to happen. Also, while it might (might) boost iPod Touch sales, …

Yeah... I'll just let you guys work this out. :P

Thanks for the replies everybody. I think I have a better idea of what I want. As it is right now, I'm going to go ahead and wait. I can borrow friends' computers until I buy one, plus that will give me a chance to get some extra cash. Can't …

Yeah, guy. Shut up. :P And no, progress shouldn't hold up for me. I just want to know where the progress currently is so I can plan around it. @ backtomac: I use Photoshop quite a bit for my Graphics work. For music, I'll have Logic, and FL S…

I would get screwed out of a couple hundred dollars, at least. While a MacBook with a 2.4 GHz processor, 4 GB RAM, and 250 GB HD costs $1800 now, after an update it would cost less; potentially a lot less, depending on how severe the actual upgra…

Well, I want a computer that's going to last me several years. At least through college. I'm a graphic design student, and I make music also, but I think 4 GB RAM and a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo will be good enough. EDIT: As it is now, I'm on a 1.80 GHz In…

Yeah, put that way it seems very well worth the wait. They definitely do release updates at awkward times, though. You would think that they'd have put the updates out ASAP to get college kids to buy them before the school year (like me, lol). E…
