The only program I've found to fix mp3s with this issue is vbrfix. While there is a Mac version, I wasn't able to get it to work. The Windows version does work if you have Windows available to you.

Just instead of dragging new music to the folders in the Finder, just drag the new music to the iTunes window and it will place them where they belong. Sounds less of a pain to me.

Wrong forum... but here's something that could help. When viewing you playlist go to View-->Show Duplicates and it will show if you have a track in there more than once. It's not an alert, but it will help.

Actually I find it best to set up a playlist with all the songs you want, then point Party Shuffle to it which will give you more flexibility than the just shuffling a playlist.

Intel hasn't owned the Indeo codec for a long time. Bug Ligos the current owner for some compatible versions. Although I doubt they care considering it's a dead codec.
