  • I've edited this a few times because I post so rarely here and I wanted to get my thoughts in order. Sorry that it's a long ramble. I agree with most of you about the hardware concepts (except for anything that is a hybrid laptop/tablet). What conce…
  • Shouldn't the iframe go by its orignal name? iFramistan?

  • Yeah, I really need a slower laptop with an even smaller screen to use in conjunction with my iMac, and that's only a couple hundred cheaper than an iBook. [ 07-16-2002: Message edited by: pathogen ]

  • I love the Blue and White case. It's one of the best looking designs for a computer of all time. It's singular and powerful... I'd go so far to say that it and the iMac are two of the best designs of the 1990's of any product.
  • [quote]Originally posted by The All Knowing 1: OK you all, there's a lot of discussion here and I want to try to address some of the important points brought up.... Wow... that was definitly the voice of reason. Thanks for putting the ground bac…
  • So, if this were correct, Apple would be announcing the following on the 17th: - New G4 case - Fully dual line up of 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 Apollos with more L3 per processor - DDR RAM and memory paths - ATA 133, with RAID - Firewire 2 - Airport 2 -…
  • That was a great article. It was neat how at the end he also mentions Steve Jobs giving the go ahead to ask them to take another half a million and "a new computer" for the song. Anyhow, this article was written to be handed in at least two we…
  • over this thread, a few people have posted again and again, and most of it is the most bitter posting I've ever seen. bitter, bitter, bitter. i figure instead of posting in a rumor area for "future hardware", there should be a "bitter nagging" area…
  • John Sculley is a clueless dork. Read this interview with him last year about his prophecies for 2002 (It's the most unpopular marketing idea since the pop-up window ad.

  • I sure hope the next case looks like nothing posted in this thread. Something about the cases since 1999 have been very inspirational to look at for us creative types. If it goes to looking like a generic steel box, Apple's not gonna win any design …
  • Well, I guess "glove" is turning out to be a load of hogwash... Macminute is just now reporting that Apple has a new "Maintenance" package for OS X, which requires a minimum of 10 seats to opt in, and different price schemes for 100+, 1000+ users…
  • Maybe the question to ask is who is going to be buying a few extra million dollars of Apple next week?
  • I'd buy the $2000 17" iMac with dual monitor support (or at least video mirroring). I don't need to add any special PCI things, or extra internal drives. Just need more screen area and no firewire inbetween to watch a video on my tv.
  • As the Apple Turns (monday April 8th) just had a tarot card reading that a two button mouse is in Apple's future... and how often is Jack wrong?
  • [quote]Originally posted by Matsu: The game cube add on is total crap. It would cost nearly as much to make one that works with your mac. Won't happen 'cause only a fool is going to pay for the cost of a mac plus the cost of an add-on to play gam…
  • Why not a Nintendo GameCube in a G4? Instead of a zip bay have some sort of decoder box, or a PCI card, and use the super drive to play the Game Cube minidisks. USB controllers. That kind of partnering makes more sense to me. I mean, not everyone wa…
