Apple doesnt announce hardware outside the US. At least not groundbraking hardware. As if apple were to release any groundbraking hardware within the next 12 to 18 month.

Observations: This was yet another silent update of the PMs. This was yet another small update of the PMs. This was a emergency releace with patchwork solutions like the system controller. There hasnt been a keynote PM release for quite a long ti…

[quote] but there's no way in hell we'll see a IBM 64 bit chip in a Power Mac before october. It's just unrealistic. Why is this unrealistic?

Maybe they anounce tomorrow that there is going to be an anouncement. And that anouncement is about the special event. And at that special event apple will release the new multi flavored transparant toiletrings. I still hope...

[quote] The main thing is what "killer apps" does this enable for the consumer? Hyper realistic games. Realtime reytracing in your 3D apps. [quote] There is no such thing as "too much computing power" This guy knows what he is talking …

The altivec never became the hit apple wanted it to be. Few applications are using altivec and even fewer have full support for it.

Ive been thinking the same thing. What if there was one processor (+memory) that was only made for the system. And another processor(s) (+memory) wich were more powerfull, to run the actual applications. This would ofload these processors everyting …

I think if the No-PM-@-MWNY rumor is based upon the Crystal Clear promotion, the rumor has no base. Also, if there are no qualifying products after July 17 the promotion will either come to a natural end or there will be other qualified products. A…

Its more imprtant than ever that apple makes an statement that it is capable of performance. Just lowering the price is no real solution. Today there is serious uncertainty about the future of the macs in the proffesional music/video/3D market. I sa…

[quote] Ahem. The iMac did not blew. It does not even blow. It rules. The MWSF02 keynote rocked (along with iPhoto and the "son-of-pismo"). Barto MWSF2002 rocked why: Because of no Powermacs? Because of the awkward ending? [quote] To l…
