You don't have to have bluetooth on for phone->computer if they're on the same wifi network. I never turn bluetooth on and I use this all the time - just made a call like this a few minutes ago.

I live in Provo, UT and I had my phone in my hand when I noticed it switch to LTE on Tuesday. I was shocked! I was only getting 300k that day, but it still switched. On Wednesday it was working fantastically. Depending on which site I'm connecte…

I got my order in around 9:30 this morning (mountain time) and got shipping for March 16 on a black 32 GB wifi only. I was quite happy when my boss poked his head in and told me to go ahead and order it. So nice when work buys me toys.

DISCLAIMER: I think the Apple tablet is coming...and soon. This is pretty standard boilerplate stuff. I think that if Gawker were to produce a headline that went "$100,000 for anyone who can show us concrete proof that Apple is making a [somethi…

I stopped by the Intel booth/pavilion (just about needs its own zipcode) today and saw a brief demo of the i5. The autoclocking stuff it does it really cool. They showed a live demo doing some photoshoppy stuff and you could watch the processor cl…

If this had been determined at the beginning of the decade Apple wouldn't even have been an afterthought. Interesting how much cultural relevance they were able to gain in roughly 6-7 years. I put that figure at less than 10 years since Apple real…

You know...I was just thinking, this might be more than just Apple saying "You can't play in our sandbox." If Apple doesn't actively prevent Palm from directly syncing with iTunes, it can be seen as tacit approval. Said approval implies support. W…

Nice move on Apple's part. I think that's awesome. Incidentally the health insurance that Apple has for their employees is top-notch. I know someone who works for Apple corporate (hardware design - and no, he doesn't tell me anything) and he ha…

In testing the message sending to my iPhone they messages have been popping up on the phone within about 10 seconds. Coincidentally the message arrives at the same time as the confirmation email from MobileMe.

I definitely feels a lot faster. Just tried it on the website of the University I work for and the JS elements load much faster than they did in Safari 3. The site normally loads so slowly that you can watch the Javascript stuff drawing itself. N…

I just installed the box over the trial (I'm weird, I got the trial but wanted the box copy) and that worked just fine.

I've got to say that I was more than a little annoyed at the iGoogle iPhone page disappearing. I used a bookmarklet to iGoogle to launch Safari more often than Safari itself. Plus I had a lot of bookmarks on there that I used quite often. Plus it…

IANAL (but I will be in the near future) but I think that Steve's disclosure about his health last month (I think it was last month) will cover their bases. He HAS been working for the last little while. Now take that into account along with the d…
