No analyst or rumor ever correctly predicted the capabilities of the CPUs of future iPhones. The only things people occasionally predict correctly is the name of the chip, nothing else. This particular speculation is just as baseless, someone pulled…

Hahaha, AAPL dropped 9%. I predicted it in my post yesterday! It is utterly irrelevant just how fast Apple is growing, clueless stock traders will always scream DOOM in response to earnings. Google's growth rate was cut in half in a year, down f…

Last week when Google reported earnings, their stock shot up by 15% in one day to the price-earnings-ratio of 31.5. They reported 11% YoY revenue increase and 13%-16% earnings increase, which actually showed that their growth is decelerating serious…

How many of these jobs will be cut in the US? Nokia doesn't have manufacturing facilities in the US. I have the feeling that out of the 18000 layoffs, very few will be in the US. According to their website they have factories in Brazil, China, Hunga…

My new iPad's wifi reception is exceptionally good. While I sync it over wifi with my computer it usually uses 1-2MBytePS higher bandwidth than my iPhone 4S. That can only happen if it gets better wifi signal.

I for one am very enthusiastic about the movie. I actually read the book (E.R. Burroughs: A Princess of Mars) some time ago and loved it. It was written almost 100 years ago and it indeed has all the things in it that are visible in the movie traile…

GOOG is way overpriced. Here is why: AAPL net income in the latest quarter was $6.6B and it represented a 42.6% growth year-over-year. GOOG posted about $2.7B net income and according to this latest quarter, it is growing now at 6.7% year-over…

The article is talking about embedded, real-time operating systems, but in fact the mobile OS X is neither. It's not embedded, because it has become an open computing platform. It's not much different from the desktop Mac OS X anymore. The non-OS…

It works great for me. I'm mightily impressed. And I'm not even a native English speaker. Unit conversions, full address look-ups, image searches, location awareness ... couldn't be easier than this.

I think we can safely state now that that's not a mini-DVI or a micro-DVI port. Comparing them to USB, it is obvious that their shape and size do not match this new hole. Since the icon next the cut-out clearly signals a display connector, we can a…

This is a MB Air. No question about that.

How stupid is that? I can't believe they really mean it... The EU really wants to tell a mobile phone manufacturer to make the batteries removable in the handsets? Don't they have anything else to do? Like fixin' the frackin' economy or feeding th…

If the estimate is correct, that would put Apple ahead of RIM globally in terms of number of phones sold in Q4. According to RIM's most recent earnings report, they have sold about 6.1 million phones globally.
