Or it's likely that speech just hates you It's very finicky, works half the time, and really isn't that useful... not really more efficient than mouse/keyboard (esp considering the misses).

The analogy I've heard is that if the G4s were "short" and "wide", where the Pentiums are "long" and "narrow", the G5 can be described as "long" and "wide". Perhaps this indicates a much greater bandwidth for the G5?

Guys, this isn't the OS 9 days... Adium 2 is an isolated app under protected memory that doesn't screw with the kernel, it cannot be taking down the system so easily. Should be something else. (and I've never had issue with Adium 2 alphas)

They probably do not have auto sensing ports. You'll need a cross-over ethernet cable, not a standard one, or a hub/switch to connect them. Then just set both of the computers to use DHCP for the ethernet port and they should find themselves. …

You can certainly do stuff with pci radeons, a pci radeon 7000 is probably better than, say, an AGP rage 128, but higher AGP cards will be a lot better.
