I do not think its a bad product. I agree that I have never seen people so happy at almost any product apple announces on any mac forum, there is always an "if". I think the iPad is appealing for a certain crowd, and that is really a big one. I k…

I have a Keynote 08, on an 2.0GHz Aluminum unibody Macbook, running Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard on 4G RAMs.

Thanks for the reply. However the Mac OS alog with iworks fills about 20Gb aside from the lost 10Gb, which is quite confusing and disappointing in the same time. 10Gb unaccounted for, represents 6.25% along with a 12.5% basic for the OS and iwork…

Yep, in Japan the old Black MB, the 15" MBP, the MBA and the new entry level Aluminium MB are all for the same price, and I am talking brand new. A stupid Q.: Is any external USB HDD that has a seperate electric supply, bus-powered or not?

What about the 7200rpm noise and heat? Since you had it on an older MBP, how does it compare (regarding heat/noise) in the new MBP?

I would go for the 1,599$ its a breath taking device. Besides the CPU and RAM I appreciate that backlit keyboard. I guess if they had it on the lower end model, 70-80% would go for it I wanted to ask about applecare, is it only provided by apple …

Quote: They do. It's the new 15" Macbook Pro. 15" screen, card slot and FW800. The 13" MBP doesn't have a card slot or FW800 and has an integrated but decent GPU. On the other hand, it's also $400 cheaper. Oh sorry, added a Pro on there by mista…

Well, I think from a marketing poit of view (and I am not a pro in that )Apple did a nice thing, I mean they clearly seperated their customers to "consumer-level" and "pro", so if you need the FW go pro I think the MB is much more beautiful tha…

Ok, what about the white macbook? Price/value wise where is it among other notebooks? First time to touch this thing at apple store, and I guess its love at first sight!! It is a heck of a sturdy notebook, my only worry is that the screen is a on…

So would the rumored use of ethernet cable solve this problem? If so, would it be of higher or lower speed than the firewire (400 or 800)?
