NY Times article says G5 units are supposed to hit stores Monday. Can't tell if it means demo units, or ones that are for sale. I am hoping for the latter!

Correction: snappIER than a single processor

I don't do video editing or anything. I know I'd get a nice snappy Finder, and iTunes, but I am not sure either of those are enough to justify the $600 difference in price. I was hoping I would see on a list somewhere a few other apps that could co…

this is semi off topic, but are these machines going to use DDR333 PC 2700 or DDR400 PC 3200? i cant help but notice that prices for these two vary a good deal...

I'll be exstatic if the 2 gigger doesn't go higher than $2999. If it does, I am praying to every god I know of that Apple will have a 1.8DP, cause I really want a dual proc machine, but 3 large is my absolute limit.

i can't decide if i want to know what the prices are or what the case looks like more. the waiting hurts... so... bad...

I am hoping for something a bit more elegant. Apple certainly knows good design, and the El Capitan case, or whatever variant we have now, is a good example. But I think the current tower has a certain "bulk" that is below par for the rest of Appl…

Do NOT get a Lexmark. I was a Lexmark service technician for a year, and I can tell you they are the least reliable electronics I have ever encountered. Cheap plastic parts, lousy QA.

The 17" iMac is a sweet deal. The 15" iMac isn't Its the same damn computer from before only slightly cheaper. The problem is its not the cheapest iMac from before. Apple has a bad tendency to make you buy features you dont want. Like the …

I am feelin pretty sad here. I know Apple is doing t, but to hell with MOT. They are at 867MHz for the low end? Does it strike anyone that only ONE of the new models is faster than the old ones, MHz-wise? No USB 2 No FireWire 2 Nothing bette…

I really get the appeal of a wireless mouse for notebooks. As for desktops, I'd get sick of replacing batteries, and my wires dont bother me at all. I'd rather have 2 buttons.

I dont care much at all about wireless keyboards and mice. A 2 button one would be great, but thats a different thread. I agree about the yawns, but big price drops are significant, especially like for my mother, who needs something new, but not…

I totally agree, I think ThinkSecret just typoed on some prices. If Apple wants to cut prices, a $999 iMac is crucial. And a headless iMac for $599 would be even better. I don't even care about a redesign, just put a VGA port where the chrome bar …
