What is your source for Samsung “copying” its competitors by making an announcement next week? In my experience working at multinational companies, these types of events tend to be scheduled months in advance.

In my view, there are 2 ways Apple could have significantly improved the design of the AirPods + case. 1. Incorporate a simple mechanical lifting mechanism such that when the lid is opened, the AirPods rise out of the case. This would make them far…

Yep I thank my lucky stars that I bought (and fully loaded) the last MacBook Pro with a real keyboard. I've experimented with each iteration of the butterfly keyboard and hate it so much that I would seriously consider buying a PC as my next laptop …

Messages in the Cloud. The mythical feature. Right up there with Time Machine backups to external HDDs back in the day.

It's a long time since I've been as excited about a feature as I am about iMessage iCloud syncing - having unsynced messages littered across 6 or so devices is not helpful for my mild OCD. Fingers crossed this is finally getting close to release. (A…

After a week or so of use, I like Face ID quite a lot. It's generally fast, and appears to work well in the dark, when wearing cap/beanie etc. The only significant (and at times quite annoying) downside that I've come across is that the phone has t…

it's amusing to read an article accusing another author of childishness and poor writing that is itself so childish and poorly written. Your critique, much of which is factually justified, would be far more credible if your tone was more balanced.

One piece of magnetic magic that would have been very helpful would be to incorporate magnets in each AirPod that allow them to stick together when they are out of my ears and not in their charging case. E.g. when they are sitting on a table (as the…

I'm using it also and the Touchbar works surprisingly well. It is a very neat app that works very seamlessly. Super handy to be able to have calendar or email etc open on a 2nd screen.

So I've been playing with mine for a day now (purchased from Selfridges in London at 9am this morning) and here are my observations: - sound quality: seems to be at least as good, possibly even slightly better than EarPods. Absolutely no complaints …
