As a Treo 600 owner, I can only tell you how plaeased I ama with it, so much better then the awful Sony T610. With the Treo I can sync ALL my contacts and appointments. There is also a huge number of relevany applications available, it is just so we…

Presumably the idea of both Sony and Microsoft is that by going the G5 route, the games will not be playable on PC nor will the boxes be so easily hacked.

Follow up. I bought a 800mhz iBook with airport and an HP 5850 wireless printer, however I have a problem. I have set up the printer to work on Peer to peer wireless and it has an ip range 169.xxx etc and I can print to it but the range does seem…

Well I sync 3 macs and a Treo 600 and I make changes at whatever machine I am sitting at and I don't have any problems with duplicates. There is some issue with new entries made on the 'phone but I can't think what it is right now.

How many more threads are going to be started on this subject. I vote for a sticky... New powermacs... when...

I too hope that apple will maintain the link from Palm OS devices to iSync. having just bought a Treo 600 I can't tell y how much I wished that someone had made this thing five years ago. Yes handhelds are dead; long live the phone organiser. I d…

Enhance the iMac by putting a G5, a new video card and make the fixed memory a single 512mb chip. the I am sure the imac will fly off the shelves.

The 20" iMac is brilliant, it just needs a G5 processor. As soon as Apple find a way to introduce it iMac sales will revive. G4 processors are killing sales of all the machines they are sold in. The main problem is for Apple to update all of its lin…

I think the point atomicham is trying to make is that whilst Apple have announced 2ghx xServer on 90nm, they are the first 90nm chips. I must say it seems a little odd that the move to 90nm doesn't result in a speed increase over the top end 130nm p…

Buying a G5 is a long term investment, so I am going to wait. I am really struggling with me B & W G3, but I think a 90nm G5 is going to be worth the wait, less heat = less noise and it is likely to be faster. I was surprised that the G5 was …

It seems to me that Apple is leaving it a bit late for intermediate updates. If they don't get a move on they face a greater risk. We all know that Steve said 12 months to reach 3ghz, if they don't get the 2.6's out soon many people will just hang o…

I am in the same boat as the original poster. I am still soldiering on with a Rev A B & W G3 - 300 and it is as sluggish as hell. Panther has made it more unstable and I have learned not to buy the first machines out of the stable. This is a lo…

If this thing works does that mean all those windows viruses are going to run on my machine

I don't think we willevery see a G5 SLOWER than 1.6ghz. What will happen is that they just get faster and as they do the slower processors will find there way into the bottom of the line machines. I will go one styage further I think the 970fx wi…

I still think there will be a single price ie 1 EURO except in GB hwere it'll be £1 making GB the most expensive place on earth.

All my Macs crash more frequently post Panther. Panther has some nice things but stability has definetly taken a down turn. Every twain device I have no longer works with native drivers since ugrading.
-
Well I love the speed of Panther but my twain scanners are both broken I have also noticed an increase if applications that "unexpectdly quit". I just don't know why Apple does this. HP must be fed up of re-writing their drivers. Everytime they ha…

Well the reason I use Safari is that I can close tabs with a a single click. With Camino and Firebird I have to hold down the control key and navigate the contextual menu - YUK.
