This is probably all the DVD resource you'll ever need: http://www.wormintheapple.gr/macdvd/faq.html

Ooh, hadn't thought of that: I'm not a 3D professional, I just like to play... Probably not being lazy and actually building a keyboard would be my bestest buddy, but I'm only really visualising a physical project, so dimensional accuracy is more…

Yep, that seems to be in place: 6.2.7 has options all the way up to Word XP. The last Word file anyone sent me formatted perfectly in AW, so I think they've just about got the problem licked.

There is a TiBook model out there which looks super-detailed, but they are charging $78 for it. Oh well, off to playing with Apple's PR shots in Photoshop. Cheesy bump-mapped keyboards here we come!

Yeah, the only way a Windows user can upload is if they're running XP and the Windows iDisk Utility.

It seems you can Just go to your User CP, select Edit Options, scroll aaaaallllllll the way to the bottom and set the "Use vBCode quick links on your message input screens?" option to No. Works, but you lose all the other functionality...

It's not a problem, Apple went to a lot of work to make that sort of setup work just fine: the only real reason you'd want to keep OS 9 on a separate partition is in case one or another OS hoses itself and requires reinstalling: you'd only have to d…

Well, it's completely useless to me, but I'm the UK...

I know a couple of sites that consistently send Safari running off to hide in the Dock, but, hey, I don't visit them.

Welcome to the Aqua party! In theory, all your OS 9 applications should already be in the Applications (OS 9) folder (the whole reason that was put into 9 was to make the transition easier), and it's a handy place to leave them. Everything els…

My 12" PowerBook lives inside a booq Powersleeve 12: lovely and robust, and it fits inside any other bag or briefcase I want to use without it looking excessively like I'm carrying a laptop around with me. The only slight drawback is that it looks n…

The iCal issue is down to the fact that the application icon is 17th July last year, when iCal was announced. It's not a bug, that's just how it works, although the Dock icon reflects the date while the app is running. If you do a click-and-hold on …

Not if you have Font Smoothing enabled...

You know, you might be right. Something got screwed up with my Xounds installation and I've only just got it working with Safari again, so I wouldn't have noticed particularly. eVo, that Dock "poof" noise has always been there, AFAIK

I thought that had been posted at MB as well, but what the hey.

Hmm, my thought too: just get some powered speakers (saves your iBook's battery) and plug them into the audio out socket.

The webspace, iSync and Backup make it for me, but I don't tend to use the email that much. Definitely I'll be renewing mine.

If it's in the store, it's Current Hardware

And now in English: rumour has it that Motorola has canned the G5, but Apple has the PPC970 as a backup plan, expected to be launched in Q3 of this year. That's just the importer's site, rather than an official Apple one, and they're regurgitatin…
