I am also skeptical. All of this talk about virtualization, Rosetta, etc. Very reminiscent of when we went from PowerPC to Intel. The difference is, going to Intel was a boon because suddenly we had Macs that could run linux, Windows, etc. It wa…

Why 23? Why 21.5? There must be some wonderful source of these sizes when the rest of the industry had 20" and 24" monitors. This is a genuine quesiton btw. Not trying to be snarky.

I don't think it's a hater crowd. If it was a HP with a lousy keyboard no one would mention it. People love the Apple hardware and software, and having a keyboard that's sub-par for what you do most - writing - is unacceptable. I bought a Lenovo …

I really have no idea. There are a slew of interesting chromium-based browsers, including opera, brave, and vivaldi. All three of them have a lot going for them. Just can't see what MS needs to do this for other than to make a viable MS-branded b…

I'd go AMD in a heartbeat. They don't run that cool though. I have an 1800x desktop and it is a fine performer for an incredible price. Can arm hit those kind of performance numbers? I'm asking honestly - I've seen incredible ios benchmarks bu…

Yeah it can't be completely dormant. There is just more lag in the Apple system. I'm sure that's more due to the fact that the echo is a single-purpose device, and is only there to listen. the iPhone is doing dozens of things at any given time.

I've done a bit of home automation recently and the low price of the Echo Dot made it irresistible, if not to just try. I found both siri/homekit and alexa to be very competitive with one another. Alexa is decidedly less intelligent, but what it k…

Razer driver has prevented me from getting to the desktop without a crash/reboot. I tried booting into safe mode with no joy. Seems any way I do it there's no time to get into the Library and remove the offending file. Any suggestions welcome.
