It's .zip, it hangs the Finder on large files, and it doesn't support resource forks. this is from various reports around the web... Could anyone confirm?

So, do we have confirmation that mounted Samba shares can no longer fubar the whole OS? Another thing i'd like to know, if you do a show info on an item being downloaded or transfered, does the file size update live? Or is it static as in Jaguar?…

I use DropJPEG for converting my .pdf screenshots to jpeg. Very handy, it's just one drag and drop away.

it's a window manager crash, it's rare but it happens, unfortunately.

Macbidouille isn't the average rumor site. It's more of a french xlr8yourmac than anything else, hence the name, which basically means tweak your mac. They almost never post rumors. When they do, they either: 1) state that it is from a very re…

the article is full of shyte. [quote]By the end of 1997, Apple was selling Power Macs that ran at 233 and 266 MHz, but the last of its PowerPC 604-based line had been running at 350 MHz! Aside from the obvious fabrication limitations of the …

Well my 75GXP is going to be a year old in a few months... Has served me right uptil now, but it does get in that click... click... click... click... mode now and then. Mine had a 3 year warranty, will they take it back without it having failed?

I get over 7x on a G4 400MHz. The 867MHz result seems odd... A friend of mine who has a Duron 800 rips a CD in about the same time as I do. So I sincerely doubt that 24x figure...

I thought the exam same thing while watching the keynote, and surprisingly so did my g/f. The ressemblance is quite surprising. Especially in the video where you see the new iMac nodding it's head.

This is insane. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the front page... Hardcore. Steve (who else has balls this size?) is clearly teasing us... I agree in that a G5 is not necessarily coming, and that there is something brewing we might not even ha…

Guys... Calm down. There is no way Apple will introduce products today. The site being down is probably for random maintenance. Or, they could be changing hardware, that's quite probable in fact, Apple.com being run on MacOSX Server, they need th…

quite true... but near enough. I remember the last AppleExpo (Paris), I was there *very* early, was amongst the very first in line. Of course the first few rows are reserved for press/VIPs, but I got a pretty close seat. Anyways, I'll be in front…
