I don't know what would be involved on a technical level, but I'd be happy if the next Mac Pro could accept regular graphics cards. As opposed to needing the super secret, double special Apple versions of graphics cards. Obviously this would…

I just want a machine with desktop parts. Not a Xeon workstation, not a laptop on a stick. Not a Mac Pro, a Mac Mini, or an iMac. Just a Mac. I want a regular Mac. They should look at it as payback for us getting them through the 90s.

I'll speculate on something more advanced. AuthenTec was pitching a new technology. Fingerprint scanners have been around for a while. They pitched it to some of the following companies Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Fujitsu, HBO, HP, Lenovo, LG, Motorola…

I'll take the far side of the speculation. Two iPhones. One 3.5-3.8" with the same resolution as now. That's the largest they can go without losing their self-imposed retina definition. And one that bumps it to 4.8" at 1280 x 1920 just to be the b…

Just don't hold it that way.

I don't have cable or satellite, so I really don't care what Apple does on the content side. As long as it has Netflix and iTunes, I'm set. In a perfect world it would also support Amazon Prime, but that probably won't happen. If Apple does somet…

Nokia had a billion reasons to go WP7. I'm sure that made the decision easier.

If they put a HD6950M in the top end, I'll basically have to buy it.

As the old saying goes: "Unix for programming, Mac for productivity, Windows for Solitaire." (i.e. gaming) Now you can have all three in one machine. How cool is that?

Back in the 90s I used Windows. I switched to Mac when they introduced Mac OS X. A Unix OS with a lickably clean interface? Yes please!

I do think the time is coming to ditch internal disk drives on the iMac and laptops. Those who really care can always buy an external one. Maybe another year or two, but we're definitely almost there.

Please, please, please let's have an HD69XX option on the iMac. BTO is fine. Pretty please with sugar on top.

As far as connectivity goes, I'd just like two simple upgrades to the dock connector. USB3 and allowing for higher amp service. For example, my motherboard can output 1.5A on its USB3 ports, but my iPhone can't actually accept/charge that fast. Frus…

I'll just shamelessly quote myself from two months ago. Quote: Originally Posted by Daemonk I think it's pretty obvious that the iPad will get a resolution bump. Specifically, look at the iPhone resolution: 960x640 Now double that in each d…

While the next iPhone will likely be released in Q2 2011, it's unlikely that it'll be branded iPhone 5. Apple appears to be using a tick-tock product release strategy.

Coming from T-Mobile, AT&T has been worse in all measurable ways. Price, service, coverage, you name it. They don't even have 3G yet in my city of ~327,000. Literally every last other carrier (including T-Mo) has it here. If it weren't for th…

I think it's pretty obvious that the iPad will get a resolution bump. Specifically, look at the iPhone resolution: 960x640 Now double that in each direction, for four times more pixels and you get: 1920x1280. That would allow: 1. Perfect up…

The DIY build argument is pointless anyway. Even if you look at premium pre-built gaming PCs with support (e.g. Alienware), you can get a machine for $1500 to $2000 that'll be much better suited to gaming than a Mac Pro. That's the niche that App…
