If you're just printing snapshots, then I guess you should stick with the cheapest lab prints you can find. If you are a photographer, there is no way that a machine print can look as good as an Epson (or other photo-quality brand) print on good pa…

Buy a good photo printer. Epson has a good one (6-color inks, borderless prints) for $99. With the new inks and papers the prints will last for over 30 years. Even with the cost of paper and ink your snaps will cost far less than 49 cents a piece…

The first 970 Macs will definitely have premium pricing. How can you ignore history? Remember G3, G4. Were they cheap? Apple's marketing people are confident that they can price the first 970's high. Even I could write Jeff Goldblum's TV sp…

Okay, I located all of my jpg's and burned them to CD the "old fashioned" way. I then deleted all of the images from the updated iPhoto library. Is there any hope that as I import new image files into iPhoto2 I will actually be able to use iPhot…

I just tried the CD burn function in iPhoto. All of the images seem to appear on the CD after burning, but there is no actual image that opens up in Photoshop (or Preview). What's up?

Anyone? Anyone? I'm guessing no one has had a problem like this?

After reading many of these posts I decided to wait on 10.2.2. Last week I used Software Update to update my Superdrive. Unfortunately, I had consumed a couple of refreshing beverages and accidentally downloaded 10.2.2. I threw caution to the w…

Thank you all for your help. Not being a technical type keeps me from knowing if I need some of the tips supplied. I will simply upgrade to OS X 2.1 and turn on the firewall. What's interesting is that I have posted this question in other forum…

My friend teaches. If she gets OS X free, or buys it at the educational discount, and gives it to me will I be using it legally?

How can this be a surprise to anyone? This has been talked about for months.

I have the original 22' Cinema Display at home and at work. They are incredible. If you can get the 22" cheaper, I don't think you could see much of a difference. Also, the 22" displays stayed so expensive for so long due to Apple's zero defe…

My employer offers up to a $2,000 interest-free loan for home computer/peripheral purchases. The loan period is for one-year, and you can elect to have the payments auto-deducted from your pay checks. You can start a new loan as soon as the previo…

Years ago, I was receiving cookware in the mail from a company I had never heard of. I tried calling them, but they had no record of the items being sent. I asked a lawyer if I was being scammed, and might eventually be presented with a large bill…

I ordered my SP 733mhz G4 the day after it was announced at Macworld. I received it 7 weeks later.

Indeed, it is nothing like the weight of a CRT that size. I blew out my back trying to put my old Apple studio display in its new owner's car. I just meant that the Cinema Display is heavier than it looks, and it would take a really big ugly swive…

I've had a Cinema Display for over a year, and I have never had a need for a swivel base. The precision backlighting on these screens make the display VERY heavy. I would hate to give up the elegant slim footprint in favor of a heavy swivel ba…
