I finally gave up the ghost and coughed up $150 to AT&T for a MicroCell. For what it's worth, my iPhone now works great at home! Has my fanboyism gotten the better of me? Perhaps, but I'm happy and that's what matters.

Mine was an upgrade... had a 3GS. I love this screen, I find my brain and eyes treating the iPhone like a very small book, I really fly when reading on iBooks on iPhone 4. So far, so good. Much better reception at home, too. And yes I had the same l…

I haven't heard anything so I guess I'm not one of the affected users. However, having done web programming for many years now, I am inclined to ask why this gaping security hole was left open. Does nobody there do penetration testing? I always reme…

I wish they'd get them in stock... been calling every day. I have the WiFi iPad and very much want to have connectivity all over. I was going to just order it online but I kept thinking it would come back into the store before long. So far, I've bee…

I find the iPad with a Bluetooth keyboard and the Apple case for use as a kickstand and screen protector is a very good solution for mobile writing, browsing, etc. I have the iMac at home and the Mac Mini in my office so while neither place, I can b…

If I put my MacBook Air in the sunlight it already shines through my screen completely through the Apple logo. So... maybe I have a super secret model? :P

I knew an ex-web developer we used to work with who did almost everything design-heavy in flash and refused to learn CSS. An _EX_-web developer. People are moving on. I am too. And better off for it.

Sounds like code for "charging more" as if the tons I overpay for my iPhone every month isn't enough for covering their costs.

Every single publisher will increase their prices too... Amazon bent for one, the rest want that money too... and who can blame them? Quote: Originally Posted by AppleInsider Days after Macmillan essentially forced Amazon to accept higher pric…

Partners are the bane of Apple's super-tight info bubble. They're probably thrilled to own the maker of the chip that'll end up in "The Tablet" - PA Semi.

So, I feel dumb now, seeing that the WiFi is a thing that's fixable, and that the no-calls-when-using-EDGE thing happens stock (having just done a restore). Final verdict: this hack RULES! Going to use this. Re-doing it, and feeling kinda silly i…

Okay, so this was the process: Ran the app, unlock etc. went perfectly. Installed new carrier file. Rebooted, took about FIVE MINUTES during which I was fairly frightened. Started tethering thru my MacBook Air, was awesomeness, could even g…

Co-worker pointed me to this: http://www.mobilecrunch.com/2009/11/...ning-os-3-1-2/ Trying it now, will report back!

Can it enable iPhone tethering? If I had that, I'd be ridiculously happy, I could ditch my USB EVDO card!

What I love about the new iMac is how absolutely perfect the colors are. Even my recent purchase, a 24" LED ACD looks yellow sitting next to it... a bit annoying in a way but makes me even happier about my new iMac purchase. Making iPhone apps on…

I love my Bluetooth Mighty Mouse as it is, though I occasionally have the problem where the trackball needs a vigorous cleaning to get it scrolling right again. Plus it absolutely devours batteries, so I use rechargeable to try and alleviate it... j…
