The only movie ever that I've seen Carrie-Anne Moss in and didn't go "ugh" was Red Planet. I thought that was a pretty decent adventure-in-getting-home flick. I haven't seen Memento yet though. It's on the list. -Y

I didn't think it over-used special effects really. So I'd have to disagree with the Fight Club/Matrix bit. While the movie does start off 'normal' showing what Tom Cruise's life *was* like (and then goes into insanity which does involve some specia…

Alejandro Amenabar is such a versatile director. He wrote, directed and scored the music for "The Others" which I thought was quite a decent movie. I've been trying to find "Abre Los Ojos" on DVD but I have not yet been successfull. I will eventuall…

Cameron Diaz AND Penelope Cruz! So, to sum up, we've got: Awesome music Super-cool story Cameron Diaz + Penelope Cruz ---------------------- = One damn good movie.

The music really is a character in this movie itself. It is SO well chosen and well placed it's seamless. Even if you don't care to see this movie, go anyway, the music makes up for it.

I was so excited about seeing this movie, and then I foolishly read a few reviews. Leonard Maltin is a bitter old man and I'm sick of having him pre-sour me on movies! That's it. I've had it. Never again will I read a review prior to my seeing a mov…

Space? I hope they're kidding. I mean, since Bin Laden obviously has a reasonably large financial war chest I guess he could afford the cost of going to space (maybe? I have absolutely no idea how much it would cost). But since he's the most wanted …

Using iTunes 2 to manage my ridiculously large mp3 collection has become one way I've swayed Windows-using friends over to the Mac. Apparently iTunes' ability to edit multiple ID3 tags is reason enough for a long-time PeeCee lUser to switch to the M…

Clearly Canadian is quite tasty! I haven't had it in a while though. Mmmm carbonated transparent blackberry water-ish stuff. Yummm. Next time I'm at the store I'm getting some. hehe -Y

I had a merry little Christmas indeed. I got: Â?Â*A 550mhz TiBook with 512mb of ram (which I bought myself and am typing on right now). Â?Â*DVDs: Miracle on 34th Street (The original. I love that movie), The Simpsons: Season 1 & Boiler Roo…

One other thing, Living in Canada and having not spent much time in US-retail stores. This Ambercombie & Fitch company seems a little odd. First 60 Minutes (I think it was 60M anyway) was going on about their catalogue being borderline pornog…

MichaelM's post had me laughing out loud for a good two minutes. If you can't come to the AI boards for a good laugh then where can you go?! Anyway, to join into the mass of postings: I can't stand logos or writing on my clothes. At all. Drives …

Sexy Beast! FINALLY someone else who has seen that amazing movie! I think it's one of Ben Kingsly's best performances ever. You just hate him so much! Also, I'd never heard of Ray Winstone but after seeing him in that movie I'd certainly be inte…

Make sure the fog is disabled along with antialiasing. On my 550mhz PowerBook G4 it's really quite decent speed-wise. Very fun to play around with, I just found out I can leave folders open and have multile branches out of the main disc thing. I…
