Running your windows program wouldn't be a problem if you use Boot Camp or Parallels, but you need to decide if the iMac has what you need in terms of hardware and even more important that OS X and the apps that Apple ships are the right fit too. Do…

So many things are happening now that's not a good time to predict anything or who will come out ahead. Long term the networks will either add more commercials that you'll be forced to sit through or they'll come up with some kind of pricing scheme …

Yes it has. They even joke about it e.g. "Redmond's starting their photocopiers". As Messiah said, the numbers "seem" to show that now is the right time to get OS X on other systems, at least for desktops, but I just don't see Apple being willing…

The time for Apple to license OS X is far behind them I think unless they can make iPods, iTunes, and iPhones, etc the core of their revenue, and a strong revenue stream at that, and move away from computers as their main source of revenue. Apple ca…

One other thing. I'd visit a Apple Store, if you can, and use both machines. Spend as much time as you can with them, and try as many applications as time allows. This way you can get a feel for OS X and the applications on a Mac. Good luck.

Well they use Macs in their stores for registers, so I'd guess they custom make their own a accounting and inventory control software that can work on their Macs. It be interesting to see what kind of units they give out at Apple HQ. Are they Mac Pr…

I like OS X because it's powerful and yet easy to use and doesn't get in your way like XP and Vista can. As Apple likes to say--It just works. OS X is not perfect by any means but the interface it just so much cleaner and more refined. As Paul Thur…
