  • Dual cores, I though Moki was implying something about dual cores. Also, this machine sounds too much like what Dorsal M had once mentioned.
  • I would love to go back to clinton. Back then all we had to worry about was who as giving him a BW. Just think about how great the world was during that time. And don't even mention Whitewater. Republicans hate clinton because he did everything they…
  • "And who was it...? Sorry if everybody else knows, I haven't paid any attention to this at all in the news." His name starts with Sam... and yes it is true.
  • Take a guess who Martha was dating at this time. That is why she is guilty. There is a lot more to this than people think.
  • Does it matter? What is important is that the new testament is a wonderful story that can stand on its own. It is a great story that everyone can get a positive message from. Unfortunately the majority of people who claim to be religious and christi…

  • Anybody that believes Macwishpers is a fool. That guy has lied about products that he sells. He is at best a con artist and at worst just a theif. The only rumor sites out their that has seems to have any real information are "Think Secret" and "…
  • The real thing to talk about is the last tower design that Dorsal had mentioned. Aluminum front and thiner. Sound familiar?
  • Heck, the base model is only $699 and the CD-R/W model is $749. Not a bad deal. The iMac CRT is $649. I bet in bulk the emac would be $649 or even $599.
  • how about a high end workstation with 970's?
  • What about this. The 970 goes in the new powermacs and Xserves. The new G3 - Gobi - goes in the iMac and the iBook. Maybe the Gobi will be the G3 plus altivec. I would not doubt if Apples dumps Moto totally.
  • Put down that crack pipe my friend.
  • You know, I was all jack up to send $3000 on a brand new Powermac with a superdrive but you know what - Apple just saved me over a $1000! That is great. Who the hell needs a loud powermac when I can have this thing of beauty! And yes, a PC can be…
  • David R is right. And it is getting to be no secret. Look in this months issue of Macworld, there is a write-up on the hook-up between iPhoto, iTunes and tivo.
  • Osakans has got it. Thats what I was trying to say in the first place. You did a better job. I have never just used the SST but rather installed both. Is there a difference? Samba works well to share a firewire drive, I do it all the time.
  • You don't need any thing other than Samba. Not what came with the machine but the one you download from versiontracker. With that you can share any folder (on any drive) with the world. No body should only use the apple supplied version of samba. Th…
  • I have a 128 drive (Kanguru) that will do similar things. It only happens with a Fat 32 format and files with long names with odd characters. Try renaming some things before adding them.
  • No it is not just IE. It is almost every app. Safari does it. Open a new window in safara and it will go beneath the dock. Stupid. You are 100% right. Little things like that turn people off so fast it is scary. The dock should be special space that…

  • Thanks Dave, that was exactly what I was looking for. He really nailed it. His date for 10.5 seems right as well, summer 2003. The right time for IBM to give a presentation in october and for Apple to have the chips in new machines in July. Grea…
  • Someone on this board, a while back, detailed all the features of 10.2 and 10.3. He referred to 10.3 as a cat name - no pinot- and also mentioned that 10.2 would not contain 64 bit code but 10.3 would. This was the time when everyone expected 10.2 t…
  • HP just came out with drivers for its printer/scanner/copier units (the PSC and G series). I wonder if these new drivers include scanner support?
