I had the same problem and think I know why the finder is eating CPU. I accidentally found out that when your harddisc is quite full, say less than 4 GB free space, i think the finder starts to defrag the disc to get it to work faster, which is a…

First of all, thanks a lot for the quick informative replies, respect... So, the 10.2.1 installer will see my firewire harddrive, and NOT erase the whole disc, before I choose in which partition it has to be installed in? Will it erase the p…

.cda files are each 1Kb small, 1 cda file per track, that represents the TOC (table of contents) information I believe, which tells a normal cdplayer where songs begin and and, how much pauze there is in between songs. The music itself I believ…

There is absolutely nothing I would want to download from iTMS. I'm a dance dj/producer and if I do a search on all the artists I have on my records, nothing shows up. iTMS looked good when I first heard about it, but actually it's just commercial …

I don't think it'll work. I guess for best results, get all the paint off with some product, then re-paint, when disassembled off course. Don't ask me how, just looking it from a painters view. Re-touch paint is just temporary, it won't hold long…

I don't think U can do a lot about it. That is, if comonents are fried. First check the audiomidi setup program. Then do all the things that are listed here: http://forums.appleinsider.com/showt...threadid=32364 If all that doesn't help…

So will it be safe if we just turn airport off/unplug the network cable?

DMBand0026, I use the 120 Gb as storage + keep it synced with my internal drive. It's all getting a bit full. I do music and DJ with my computer so my whole collection is on it, that takes a lot of space. Every session i compose takes about 40…

That's easy, thanks a lot.

Did they do something about the volume changing thing in audio-midi setup? U know the volume get's automatically changed sometimes which is annoying if you are trying to make music.

I think the latest Ti rev has a different paint job. I have my Ti for a year now ,no chipping, just minor scratches and U have to look really close to see them.

I tried Pixel Check and I seem to have 1 dead pixel. Maybe it was in the file I created. Lucky me... Greetings

Check Audio-Midi setup in Utilities in Applications. It should be there. Greetings

I believe there is a promotion that one can lease a powerbook. This promotion is valid until 31 Aug. (In europe at least) Wouldn't it be logical that they update after 31 Aug?

I believe that the last revision has differrent paint. I'm not sure though. I got mine 6 months ago, here and there a scratch but i have to get really close to see it. The bottom gets scratched more easily.
