I just got a book called Cocoa programming for Mac OS X. So far it seems to be pretty good. You need to know Objective-C, it isnt hard to learn and you already have some programming experience so no worries there.

I would check out MacMall.com first. They often offer free memory. They don't charge sales tax either so even though you are paying shipping its usually still cheaper than local retailers or the apple store online.
