I'll bet the 128MB configuration is for special cases, like airlines, so they can equip pilots with retina-resolution maps and checklists. The cost seems high for normal use.

The discount is probably so high because Apple had to break apart the machines to 'refurbish' them. I'm not sure I'd trust one that Apple technicians had repaired; these are disposable machines.

I think they may be overestimating sales for the iPhone 5. It's bigger than an iPhone 4/S, and the tradeoff in new features simply isn't worth it (if you want a pocketable phone).
