Not to mention freezing up or crashing Camino nightly builds. I hate auto-playing anything websites.

Why buy Apple ram at all... ever?!? I just purchased a gig of ram for my Powerbook ( 2 x 512 ) for $86 per stick.

I use dial-up, so my modem is necessary. Plus its handy on the road. The options for internet here are: Charter Cable. Cheapest price: $40 a month. Horrible service, never as fast as advertised and plenty of down time. Dial up. Take your pick. Qw…

Audio files can get HUGE. I would definately love the room on DVD-R's for massive audio files. Plus backing up on DVD's is the bee's knees.

I have 61 of 80 gigs left. All mp3's (30 gigs) on the iPod now. And all movie files are neatly sorted on CD-R. I'm running leaner this time. Phew!

I don't know of one retailer that does education discounts as they would lose money giving you $300 off. I called 6 stores in my state looking for the education discount and they all said the same thing: "We don't do educational pricing. We'll lose …

Truly a 2004 set up pic, as I got the 30 gig iPod last week and a 15" 1.25 ghz Powerbook last Friday. Went from a 12" 867 mhz Powerbook with a 17" LCD to this simplified setup. I have a gig of ram on the way too. I have made many of my fellow graph…

I guess Elmer Fudd is gonna get sued too: I'm Feewing Wucky Thanks to Larry Flynt, we are free to parody what we want. I hope Booble wins in court.

We watched is as part of our computer science class I had first term. A lot of the key things that happen are true, as to where the GUI came from, DOS, etc. It was very interesting to see it played out like that. A fun watch for sure. I think the Jo…

They'll just want the 'book, thats it. I kept all of my old cables, but like a dummy, sent back the extra power supply. I have 2 of almost everything for travel now.

I am not sure, as I have heard conflicting reports on Apple's replacement policy. I believe standard procedure is to replace a machine on its 3rd repair. If it has to go in a 3rd time, they replace it. What they did for me was they took my credit ca…

This is common. My 12" PB's slot loader died after 4 CD's. Apple replaced my computer with a 20 gig bump in my hard drive. I think my PB was useable for about 30 minutes when I bought it.

My wish: Rev. B aluminum 15" Powerbooks, with possible price drop. I know the price cut is unlikely, but hey, I'm wishing here. I really want to get a 15" PB and I am waiting until after the big show. Likely: Some sort of iPod deal. Either low…

Archive and Install here back to 10.3.1. Having half of the battery power and an annoying fan 24/7 isn't worth whatever else comes in that update. Thumbs down.

I have yet to get Silent Night working properly for me. Did everything it asked for and nothing. Stupid fan , constantly on, whizzing up and down in speed. This update sucks. My battery time went from 4:30 to 2:50. So much for that battery update, e…

Geez... that made my head hurt. I am getting a monstrous LaCie monitor soon that won't fit on my current desk. So I am building a bigger desk. Its not rocket science.
