This is a new one. I take a pic and attempt to load it on my computer. At the time, my computer is running Safari (one window), iTunes (ripping a disc at 1.5x... smokin') and thats it. I hook up the camera to an open USB and... A BLUE SCREEN OF DEAT…

Yes. I managed to get a copy of v 71 and I personally like it a lot. Does better at remembering passwords, a hair quicker, less of the weird little bugs I noticed. Where ever I downloaded it from, its now a dead link. I found out they (the person …

Hmmm... Funny thing is, it will burn one or two discs at 16x, then discs at 4x (never had a burn at 8x), then randomly burn at 16x again... all from the same spool of discs. So maybe there are supposed differences between the individual discs? Well,…

Its very common from what I've heard so far. I know iTunes won't burn past 4x for me ever and thats pretty common with other iBook owners.

Yes, they're CD-R's, not CD-RW's. From time to time, my machine will burn at 16x, but not often. Its pretty random when it does.

Thanks. When I loaded the CD's once, the wording confused me and I thought it only restored OS 9. After closer inspection, I realized I could restore my OS X applications. I guess my tired eyes and tired brain aren't fucntioning well. I've been at …

My computer is still slow and the spinning beach ball of death still lurks. This computer is a big ol' P.O.S. I'm calling the store tomorrow. Oh yeah, lost Appleworks 6 in my reformat. What the hell is up with that? I had homework saved in that fo…

Guess what? The ram has been out of the machine for over a week and my problems have returned. Not only are apps crashing left and right again, now my computer is very, very slow. The hard drive spins for what seems like minutes opening everything f…

It took me clost to 2 hours to download this update. My computer has been really slow and I have no idea why. I get the spinning beach ball just opening a browser. I seriously hope this update does something for me. This is ridiculous.

Thanks guys. And yes, I am running the spanning hack. I sold me extra monitor and I am already missing all of the desktop space I had with it.

Update: Its the ram, not my computer. I'm sending it back under warranty (the ram that is). I'll try one more stick from them and if it messes up my computer, I'll demand a refund and get quality ram elsewhere. Wowzers. What a nightmare. At least I…

I don't know if this has anyhting to do with each other, but I think MSN and any thing Apple or Apple related are having a bitch fit. Anytime I open an email from an MSN or Hotmail account, it immediately labels it "junk mail". I've tried to go to M…

Ahem... reinstalled OSX. Ran fine. Changed a few preferences, but nothing to worry about. I got them fixed. Ran it without the ram in. Shut down fine, started up fast and woke up from sleep fine. Today, put the ram in. Same as above. Behaved well.…
